Pinoy Glee on GMA?

Confirmed! Nalalapit na ang pagtatapos ng dalawang shows ng GMA Network tuwing hapon ng Sabado-- ang "Jejemom" at "Kaya ba ng Powers?". At habang di pa totally handa ang project na ipapalit nito- ay Kapuso Movie Festival muna ang gagamit ng timeslot ng dalawang shows na 'to.

Rumors spread in Showbizlandia, particularly in PEX (Pinoy Exchange) na Pinoy Adaptation ng Glee, sikat na musical comedy-drama show sa US, ang project na niluluto ngayon ng syete para ipalit sa timeslot ng "Jejemom" at "Kaya ba ng Powers?", na tatapat naman sa "Wiling Willie" ng TV5.Not sure kung "Pinoy Glee" ang title, but ayon sa source- OFFICIAL tagalog franchise raw ito ng Glee.

Ito daw yong mga gaganap sa naturang show- although not yet sure :

• Arnold Reyes as Mr. Schue, the coach of the New Directions
• Rachel Ann Go as Emma, the love interest of Mr. Schue, school guidance councilor
• Beverly Salviejo as Sue Sylvester, coach of the Cherios (cheerdance team)
• Sarah Labahti as Rachel, the main Vocals of the New Directions
• Aljur Abrenica as Finn, Rachel's love interest
• Francheska Farr as Quinn, member of the New Direction
  
• Julie Ann San Jose as Tina, member
  
• Elmo Magalona as Artie, member
  
• Geoff Taylor as Puck, member

According to the source, naghahanap pa raw ang mga naghandle ng show na 'to ng mga gaganap sa ibang mga roles.

Additional!! Sa isang public school raw sa isang probinsya ang setting ng Pinoy Glee. And instead of Cheerleading group, dance group nalang daw kasama ang mga gaganap sa role na Quinn, Brittany and  Santana.

Hopefully, 2nd quarter of 2011 iire ang show na ito. As of now, inaayos pa raw ang kontrata with the Ryan Murphy Productions.

Last night, November 13, 2010, The Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) presented its 24th Star Awards for Telivision held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.

The said event was hosted by Miriam Quiambao, Angel Aquino and Ruffa Gutierez.

ABS-CBN picked up a total of 29 trophies, followed by GMA with 15, Q11 with 3, UNTV with 3, TV5 with 2, Net25 with 2 and Studio 23 with 1 trophy.

"My Amnesia Girl", This November 24

Box Office King - John Lloyd Cruz and Multimedia Princess - Toni Gonzaga will finally team-up in Star Cinema's next offering, a romantic-comedy film - entitled "My Amnesia Girl". If I'm not mistaken, this project is their first project as a love team.

Illumina, Soon on GMA Telebabad

The story of Queen Seon Deok is nearing its end. With Queen Seon Deok's exit, 'Illumina', another fantasy series of GMA7 will enter the Telebabad Block of GMA.

“Illumina” is the highly-anticipated fantasy series of GMA - the first TV pairing of Aljur Abrenica and Rhian Ramos. The primetime series will also serve as the first TV project of Cesar Montano as the a new Kapuso.

Togeteher with Aljur, Rhian and ceaser are Jackie Rice, Jean Garcia, Ara Mina, Paulo Avelino and Jhake Vargas.

Illumina is about the story of Romana and Santa, two opposing witches, one is black(bad) and the other one is white(good). Ara Mina and Rhian Ramos will play the white mother and daughter witches while Jean Garcia and Jackie Rice will take the roles as Black witches. Cesar, however, will be Ara’s husband.

This said fantasy series is under the direction Mark Reyes.

From 'KC Montero' to 'Cassandra Monteroid'

The transformation of radio host KC Montero to "Cassandra Monteroid" took place last Monday on his very own radio show, The KC Show.

KC, who is very active in Twitter, tweeted last July 5 that he will wear a woman's dress if international star Justin Bieber follows his own Twitter account.

Many responded positively as soon as the radio host posted the said message on his Twitter account. The next day, KC announced that Justin Bieber was finally following him and the campaign was indeed a success.

"For all who don't know, I will be in a drag all week because i got Bieber to follow me. I'll keep my promise", he said.

Jiro Manio is Now a Daddy!

There has been a buzz that a multi-awarded star is now a daddy. Last Sunday, July 11, 2010, the person has finally spoke out in GMA's Showbiz Central. The actor involved is no other than Jiro Manio.

18-year-old Jiro Manio is now a daddy. he confirmed it without batting his eyelashes, but obviously, there was sadness in his voice.

His baby is now two years old, he told SC and is in the care of his uncle. He refused to tell the name of the mother, preferring to keep her out of the scene. Besides, Jiro confessed that he has no communication with her.

He added that he has enough savings to raise his daughter, which would dispel future speculations that he is a careless father.

He has been out of the limelight for almost one year. His last project was with Kim and Gerald, Tayong Dalawa, but was kicked-out because of frequent absences during tapings.

To clear rumors, SC asked him if he was into drugs. he replied "just beer and smoking, but no drugs".

When asked what he would tell to teenagers like him, He said that 'going to school should be of primary importance and "not to rush".

Jiro's planning for a comeback in showbiz. Let's just wait.

After his revelations, Jiro's hoping that people will still treat him like the way people treated him before.

20th Century Fox and James Cameron, makers of the monster hit 'Avatar', announced last July 8, 2010 that they will re-release Avatar: Special Edition starting August 27, in a limited engagement and exclusively in Digital 3D and IMAX 3D.

This version of Cameron's record-breaking film will include 8 minutes of never-before-seen footage.

Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer, two oif the world's most loved and most popular animated characters are now officially Kapamilyas!

ABS CBN, the Kapamilya Network will welcome them starting July 26 to boost its Team Animazing's quality kid-friendly time via the all-new "Nickelodeon Time".

The Kapamilya Network bagged the exclusive rights to air premium Nickelodeon shows across platforms in agreement signed recently with MTV Networks International.

Aside from "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Dora the Explorer", ABS CBN will also air "Avatar, the Legend of Aang", "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron", "El Tigre", "Ni Hao, Kai-Lan", and "The Penguins of Madagascar".

Catch "Nickelodeon Time" this coming Monday, July 26 with Dora at 8:30 and Spongebob at 9:00.
